Introduction
At RE/MAX Ontario-Atlantic Canada Inc. ("RE/MAX Regional
Headquarters") we understand the importance of the protection of
the privacy of the personal information of individuals,
including RE/MAX sales associates. This document sets out our
policy regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal
information.
Accountability
RE/MAX Regional Headquarters has designated a Privacy Compliance
Officer to handle privacy matters and inquiries regarding
personal information.
Purposes
RE/MAX Regional Headquarters collects, uses, stores and
discloses personal information of RE/MAX sales associates,
clients and customers only as necessary to operate the RE/MAX
system, and to provide services to RE/MAX sales associates,
clients and customers. Operation of the RE/MAX system includes,
but is not limited to, the following activities: offering
benefits and services such as educational courses to RE/MAX
sales associates, compiling statistics for analytical and
marketing purposes, and collecting fees and levies.
Disclosure of Personal Information
RE/MAX Regional Headquarters will disclose personal
information only if consent is given by the relevant individual
or:

businesses that assist RE/MAX Regional Headquarters in
operating the RE/MAX system and in providing services to
RE/MAX sales associates, clients and customers;

when
permitted or required by law, such as in response to a
subpoena or other legal process;

to a
purchaser of all or part of RE/MAX Regional
Headquarters' business; or

to meet
legal obligations such as tax and regulatory reporting.
Protecting
Personal Information
RE/MAX protects personal information with safeguards
appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.
Access, Questions and Concerns
An individual may submit a written request to access his or
her personal information retained by RE/MAX Regional
Headquarters.
